Marvel has been a hit at the box office for almost a decade. The MCU is now past the $18 billion mark globally and that figure will substantially rise in this month. Almost three weeks to the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, the sequel to the $2 billion smashes Infinity War.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe had humble beginnings in the early days of Phase 1, but the franchise’s profile grew exponentially after the original Avengers came out in 2012. In the seven years since, Marvel has only grown in prominence, successfully making hit films.

Some of the top-grossing Marvel movies which hit $1 billion mark:

‘Avengers: Infinity War ‘ officially crossed $2 billion at the global box office. It reached the milestone in its 48th day of release, with a worldwide total of $1.35 billion. Joe and Anthony Russo directed Infinity War, which assembles just about every Marvel hero to stop the tyrannical Thanos from obtaining all six Infinity Stones.

‘The Avengers’ grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide and became the third-highest-grossing film of all time, as well as the highest-grossing film of 2012.
