Avengers Endgame Unused Script Teases The Return Of Dormammu.

After unleashing the multiverse in the finale of Loki, writer Michael Waldron says director Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange 2 is a “hell of a ride.” Set after the mind-bending events of WandaVision and the time-twisting events of Loki, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will reach the height of his power with a chaos magic-wielding Scarlet Witch Along with the dimension-hopping America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), there’s multiversal cleanup to do before the time-defying warlord Kang the Conqueror wreaks havoc on the timeline in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ancient One Shows Bruce Banner How Dormammu Is A Threat To The Earth Without Time Stone

Avengers Endgame Script has been released, and we can see an alternate scene between the Ancient One and Professor Hulk. In the original one, she explains to the Hulk what happens when you remove one of the time stones, which leads to creating an alternate timeline. Well, in this alternate scene, it shows her removing more than one Infinity Stone, and it also shows how Doormamu will return if there’s no Time Stone Present which gives us a clue of him returning in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Earth Is Vulnerable Without Time Stone

The Ancient One shows here in the scene is essentially a glimpse into the future of what would happen to Earth without the Time Stone, But that’s the thing, the main MCU timeline right now where everybody exists. Thanos has destroyed all of the Infinity Stones, reducing them to atoms, including the Time Stone. From what we learned from the first Doctor Strange and Avengers Endgame with this script, the Time Stone was the only thing protecting Earth from Dormammu. Dr. Strange was only able to defeat door Mamu by trapping him in a time loop with the Time Stone, well now it’s gone, which means Doormamu can return, and there’s nothing to protect this World from him.

Doctor Strange Will Get Time Stone From Different Reality

In the Multiverse of Madness may most likely go into a different timeline in another reality and get a time stone from there to protect Earth. Still, it seems like Doormamu is definitely on his way, especially when he finds out that Dr. Strange no longer has his primary defense against him. Although Nightmare or Shuma-Gorath has been rumored to be the villain for the Dr. Strange sequel, nothing is confirmed yet.

Also, it’s been five years since the Time Stone has been destroyed, as well as Dr. Strange was technically dead for five years as well, so if he finds out that Dr. Strange is dead and the Time Stone is no longer on Earth, then he is definitely on his way. And, of course, he will probably make it back to Earth right around when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes out.

So this new alternate scene for Avengers Endgame with Dormammu seemingly sets up the premise that he will return if the Time Stone is gone. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2022.
