Disney+ Announced new Non-Fiction Shows and more ‘details’

Disney is well notorious for its credible animated and live-action theatrical films. According to reports, Disney may be announcing the streaming service at its Investor Day presentation on April 11th. Disney+ is the company’s first step into streaming video comes as sites like Amazon, Apple, and Netflix have invested billions of dollars

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame | “Mission” Spot

 

The streaming platform has also inked a two-year deal with documentary specialists Supper Club. The great raconteur Emmy award-winning producers— David Gelb and Brian McGinn, and Jason Sterman— will be bringing their unique stories to the streaming service.

The original series that Supper Club will be working on include:

Marvel 616

“Marvel 616” will be Supper Club’s first original series for Disney+ and it’s produced in partnership with Marvel New Media. The series will include a diverse group of filmmakers. It is an anthological documentary series that explores the connection between Marvel’s rich collection of stories, characters, and creators and the world outside the window.

Earthkeepers

“Earthkeepers,” is a cinematic documentary series. It focuses on the adventurous lives of the people changing the way we see the animal kingdom. Each episode will highlight conservationists with the animals they’ve devoted their career to studying. It also possesses a professional boost that comes with protecting the planet’s most endangered species.

Be Our Chef

The new competition series gives families the chance to create the next great Disney Parks’ dish. Be Our Chef invites families from diverse backgrounds to join a positive and playful cooking competition at Walt Disney World. The winner’s magical food creation will become a signature dish or treat served at Walt Disney World.

 Marvel’s Hero Project

This new series spotlights real-life heroes who are making remarkable, positive changes in their own communities. These inspiring kids have dedicated their lives to selfless acts of bravery and kindness. Marvel praises them as they were the true Super Heroes.

Untitled Walt Disney Imagineering Documentary Series

This documentary series looks at the more than 65-year history of Walt Disney. It showcases Walt’s life through parallel storylines focused on the people, the craft, and the business. Oscar- and Emmy-nominated director and producer Leslie Iwerks is the creator of the series. It will also feature exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage from Disney parks around the globe.

Rogue Trip

The series allows families to venture to amazing places for vacation. It shows  Bob Woodruff and his 27-year-old son, Mack, take fans to all the places the average tourist wouldn’t typically visit—frequently overlooked destinations whose hidden corners surprise, amaze, and inspire.

Shop Class Champs(working title)

Youthful wit is on display in this new competition series. It features teams of inventive students tasked with designing, building, and testing new contraptions to strive for the title of Shop Class Champs. In each episode, Students will have to present their work to a panel of experts. Projects will then rated based on engineering, design, and the final test of the build.

In the past, Disney has worked with Netflix and MCU to stream some of its biggest flicks. When Disney+ launches, Disney will effectively end its policy of holding films back for exclusive and limited releases. The company is also rounding up a vast wave of original content for the service.
