In an interview for Variety magazine, Iman Vellani finally spoke about ‘Ms. Marvel’ and the great responsibility she feels when playing this character within the MCU because of the implications that she carries:

“The fact that the series is made and that they include this character in the MCU is the important thing. I don’t really have to go out of my way and talk about being Muslim and being Pakistani. All of it comes out on the show. That people see a person like me involved in a project as big as this is, I think, inspiring enough.”

Ms. Marvel hails from writer Bisha K. Ali and centers on Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teen based in New Jersey. Ms. Marvel first appeared in 2014 as Marvel’s first Muslim character to star in her own title, and she will become Marvel Studios’ first onscreen Muslim hero. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has said that in addition to appearing on the small screen, Kamala Khan will be included in future Marvel films.

So far, there is no release date for the series ‘Ms. Marvel’ on the Disney + platform, but it is known that the recordings of the movie ‘The Marvels’ have already begun where we will see her interact with Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris. They give life to Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau, respectively.
