MCU has fans from all around the world. From 2008-2019, MCU offered a lot of fantastic films and most of them were superhits or blockbusters. In the 2012 Avengers movie, we saw superheroes Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, and Hawkeye come together for the first time. All the credits go to the God of Mischief Loki, for bringing the power of these Original Six Avengers together.

No fan can forget anything about the Avengers. Whether it’s Captain America and Iron Man’s argument, the black widow’s fierceness, or Loki’s deadly mission to rule the earth, everything makes it worth watching every time. However, the film got into a controversy with Loki’s particular conversation with Black Widow.

When Loki is captured and locked by the Avengers and the Shield, Black Widow goes to him to talk about what his intentions are. During their conversation, Loki calls her a ‘mewling qu*m‘. If you Google the term, it has a very derogatory meaning and is used in an offensive way for women. It is quite shocking to see how director Joss Whedon had used the C-word in a Disney film by actually not using it in its known form.

But the use of that word in the picture was not properly recieved. People started to use that scene and that particular word on the internet as memes. As Digital Spy reported, many TV channels changed the word to a mewling child’s voice when the movie aired on TV, in order to avoid audience exposure.

Since then, there has always been a lot of talk abouts on the internet about the use of this word. We saw on Reddit how some users got frustrated by this change in the conversation when aired on TV. But, ofcourse a certain percentage of people were not happy with the inclusion of such words in a movie that even children watch.
