Who are the Straw Hat Pirates of ONE PIECE?
One Piece is one such anime that manages to slay the popularity chart due to its vibrant characters and tight plot. The anime is an adaptation of the best selling manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda. There has been plenty of well-known manga and anime, but very few have been able to attain this kind of recognition.
The series follows the story of Monkey D.Luffy who aspires to become the next Pirate King. So to continue his great endeavour, he forms a crew called the Straw Hat Pirates. In this article, we shall explore more about the members of the crew.
One Piece: Who are the Straw Hat Pirates?
The Straw Hat Pirates, also known as the Mugiwara Pirates, emerged from the East Blue and commanded by the protagonist Luffy. The “Straw Hats” was named after Luffy’s signature hat which was given to him by Shanks, the chief of the Red Hair Pirates who inspired Luffy to go on his pirate adventures.
The Crew consists of eleven members who are significant for being one of the most assorted, interesting and curious characters. As their journey moves forward, they become stronger whilst always protecting one another. Together, they battle other dangerous pirates, bounty hunters and Secret agents of the Government.
Who are the members of the Straw Hats?
We have Luffy who possesses a rubber-like body and the captain of the crew. Then the peculiar shape-shifting reindeer, Tony Tony Chopper. And then the crew’s navigator Nami who specializes in stealing from pirates. Roronoa Zoro is known as the team’s combatant, and then we have their cook Sanji.
The other remaining members are Franky who is a cyborg; Brook, known as a living skeleton. And then we have Usopp, Nico Robin, and Jinbe, the fish man. Nefertari Vivi was a member of the crew but left to fulfill her royal duties.
Each member’s strengths and traits are incomparable due to their own unique abilities and personalities. They gradually rise to become one of the most notorious pirates.
