2012 Steve Rogers Will Become Captain Hydra

At this rate, we are sure the chances of the Avengers winning are extremely low in Doomsday.

Will Steve Rogers Return in Doomsday?

We really did miss our Cap, but the current rumours suggest that even if he returns, it won’t be as the one we love and want to see.

There have been numerous fan theories that Chris Evans will return in Doomsday and play the role of Captain Hydra, the evil version of Captain America.

But now, we have something darker, as recent insider rumours suggest that Captain Steve Rogers will no longer be the leader of the Avengers, as we knew, but the Steve Rogers we saw in 2012, who led the pack, will become a villainous variant inspired by the Captain Hydra storyline from Marvel Comics.

Sorry, folks, at this rate, we are going to stand by the villains in Doomsday. Who cares about the good of fictional Earth?

Who is Captain Hydra in the Comics?

Captain Hydra in the comics is a Hydra-loyal clone created by the organisation to do their bidding. He is secretly brainwashed and raised to wreak havoc by Hydra.

This clone eventually replaced the original Steve Rogers by rewriting his past and assuming control, leading to Hydra’s secret takeover known as the Secret Empire.

In the comics, he takes over S.H.I.E.L.D. and causes widespread destruction, but in the end, he is defeated by Original Steve Rogers.

However, the rumours suggest a different backstory for Captain Hydra, which draws inspiration from the comics, so we are not sure which one we will get in Doomsday.

Now, we are unsure if any of these rumours are to be believed, as it is said that Robert Downey Jr. is the only one who has read the full script, so take all of these with a grain of salt.
