Another Villain Teased In Spiderman Far From Home: Producer
Just a Month to go for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
We are just a month ahead of release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The upcoming MCU movie’s promotional footage has already given fans a pretty good idea of the kind of adventure to expect. But inside we know, Marvel is good at keeping secrets. There may be still some secrets yet to be revealed, including the identities of an additional villain or two.
More villans revealed
We know Jake Gyllenhaal will be the face of Mysterio, the movie’s main antagonist. The movie may also packs a few supporting baddies known as the Elementals. Other than Mysterio, the movie has two more confirmed antagonist who are Hydro-Man and Molten Man.
Recently released trailers of the movie have sparked the fans by revealing some more prominent characters. One such featured a rock- and sand-based creature who was assumed to be – Sandman.
In a interview with Total Film, Executive producer Eric Hauserman Carroll was aske dabout the subject of unnamed main villain. He showed reluctance in giving any hint to the question related to secret. But still reporters managed to get a small spoiler. While talking about potential Sandman, Eric hinted at another Elemental that we’ve yet to see.
“We went digging and found characters,” Carroll said. “I’m not going to say exactly which ones yet, because we want to leave some dots for fans to connect.”
As it stands, the fans have a few more weeks to “connect the dots” on just who Sony might still be hiding from us. A new villain will soon be joing the MCU as per rumours suggests and he is none other than Norman Osborn. It’s even been a popular theory for a while now that the Avengers Tower has been purchased by Oscorp.
Eric Talks about the new villain.
“The real nerdy inside joke here is that they’re based on B-level Spider-Man baddies. There is actually a villain in the comics called Hydro-Man, who’s a guy made out of water but wears a t-shirt and has a haircut…” Carrol said they wanted to make them
“kind of scary and threatening…for all the comic fans keeping score, it’ll be fun to see Hydro-Man brought to the big screen in a way we think is pretty cool.”
Another character they could pull off the elemental take with is Electro, but that’s a big-time Spider-Man villain, and fans might be a little bummed if a major baddie like that is relegated to being a faceless elemental.
Time will tell if the hearsay and speculation has it right, but either way, it’s clear that Spider-Man: Far From Home is going to be an exceptionally villain-heavy outing. And we’ll find out how the film juggles all these antagonists when it arrives in theaters on July 2nd.
