Avengers: Endgame released last week on April 26. The Avengers packed epic is the conclusion to the previous 21 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ahead of the epic release, Fans pushed total ticket sales for the Walt Disney Co superhero spectacle to a stunning $1.2 billion count.

The movie’s stunning response ahead of release over the box office showed how much it can expand. It had a mind-blowing opening of nearly $600 million crossing the previous record set by Avengers: Infinity War on the same weekend a year ago.

The ensemble superhero thriller eclipsed prerelease “tracking” estimates. Industry experts initially expected the film to take in around $260 million domestically in its first weekend, but soon increased to $340 million after release and still ongoing.

Endgame’s jaw-dropping a worldwide collection of $1.209 billion easily passed out the previous record by $640.5 million of its prequel.
Box office collections were widely accompanied by release in big markets like China, which boosted its net gross. Despite that, Infinity War debuted in the Middle Kingdom two weeks after rolling out in much of the rest of the world.

Endgame surpassed the high-water mark of the foreign debut of The Fate of the Furious ($443.2 million) before finishing Sunday with its massive offshore total.
- In China, Endgame recorded a massive $330.5 million within five days of its launch. it has been already the No. 4 Western film and the biggest box office opener of all time there with $107.8 million.
- Now coming to the screen counts, Endgame again tops the charts with a total of 4,662 massive theatre releases in North America. It beats the location count of Despicable Me 3 (4,529), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (4,475), Infinity War (4,474) and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (4,468).
- AMC Theatres alone hosted at least 63,000 showings across its circuit, beating Black Panther by more than 10,000. And nearly 20 locations remained open from Friday-Sunday, or 96 hours, to keep up with demand.
- The superhero epic earned the title of the biggest opener of all time with a massive $156.7 million on Friday, including $60 million in Thursday evening previews, to easily topple the mark set by The Force Awakens on its first Friday with $119 million.
- The second-day results were also awed with another $109 million, dwarfing Infinity War’s Saturday gross of $82.1 million.
- Online ticket services Fandango and Atom Ticket say Endgame racked up more advance sales than any title in history.
