Beginners Guide to Marvel Avengers Endgame

Marvel Avengers Endgame

As we move to the final countdown to the most anticipated film of the year, here we are to help those who are new to Marvel Cinematic Universe, we assure you have come to the right place.

So how are we going to prepare for the finale? We haven’t watched a single Marvel movie. But the hype and peer pressure has forced me to give it a go, but where do I start?

Lots of questions, no real solutions. Some say go on a 22 film marathon. I have my exams lined up in April, how can I manage to do that without flunking?

Don’t worry we’ll solve your problem. Firstly, let’s go to the inception of the franchise i.e. where it all started. Our favorite Robert Downey Jr. delivered Iron Man in 2008 and from there started a series of films which will finally come to an end on April 26th, 2019.

So we’ll list out the films which are important to watch to understand the progress that happened in the Marvel universe leaving out the ones which didn’t really contribute to the storyline and buildup to Endgame.

Starting from Iron Man in 2008 where Robert Downey Jr completely took MCU to a new level. Before that MCU struggled to establish itself at the box office. All of a sudden Tony Stark aka Iron Man was the most loved superhero of all time. That movie broke all collection records of that time.

Then we will come to the next one, Captain America: The First Avenger, this was the movie that kick-started the Avengers franchise. Captain America was the first original avenger. Also, he would be very vital if we are going to see a happy ending in the finale because he holds the key to probably the most valued Infinity stone, the space stone. This movie is the first stepping stone to the franchise coming to end this April.

Then moving on to arguably the first star-studded movie of MCU. The Avengers in 2012, you’ll realize the addition of two more fans loved characters i.e. The Incredible Hulk and Thor. So all of our loved avengers here fight against one common enemy a tesseract wielding Loki. Yeah, you can draw the parallels. It’s all over on Reddit. People have already started speculating that this movie might foreshadow what happens in Endgame. So don’t dare to miss even one second of it!

The finale’s “Battle of New York” is probably one of the most powerful scenes in MCU. The first core of avengers i.e. Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Captain America all come together and bond together as a group. The end shows the first-ever glimpse of much-celebrated antagonist Thanos.

Then we come on to the next ones, let’s not make you read for too long. Save your eyes for this movie marathon. Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy(2014), next big star-studded flick Avengers: Age of Ultron, then we move on to one of the most loved films of all time Captain America: Civil War in 2016 where characters like Black Panther and Spiderman are introduced. Spider-Man: Homecoming(2017), Thor: Ragnarok(2017) and then finally the latest installment which saw the death of so many loved characters and we finally got a glimpse of Thanos powers, arguably much-debated movie of the decade Avengers: Infinity War. The last one which is going to play a very significant role in Avengers Endgame is Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Finish them and we’re sure you’re good to go for the finale. So don’t waste your time start watching already!
