DC is Recasting Wonder Woman as Gal Gadot Exists
It has already been ingrained in the minds of fans worldwide that Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman, but DC does not seem to share the same sentiment.
Why is DC Recasting Wonder Woman?
DC is taking a different approach to the DC universe by recasting many roles and forming the DC version of the Avengers, thereby establishing a proper timeline by connecting every show and movie.
According to this approach, Gadot and many other actors who don’t fit the role are being recast. But that’s not the only reason.
Gal Gadot’s tenure with DC is coming to an end, and there are no signs of contract renewal.
DC has plans to reintroduce Wonder Woman in Man of Tomorrow, scheduled to release in 2027. The movie is said to be a major crossover event featuring many DC characters, who are set to appear together to fight alongside one another and save the world.
So to be honest, DC is in a hurry to find the new Wonder Woman.
What are the requirements for the New Wonder Woman?
According to the casting call requirements from DC,
Age: an actress in her late 20s to early 30s.
Height: tall, to embody a warrior.
Physicality: warrior with a strong physique, emphasising physical strength and presence.
Persona: someone with an “edge,” confident and fierce demeanour, fitting for a warrior Amazonian princess.
While many think Gal Gadot is a better fit for this role, some already have several actors in mind who should play the part.
Fan favourites are: Adria Arjona, Monica Barbaro, Katy O’Brian, May Calamawy, Alexandra Daddario, Ana de Armas, and Melissa Barrera.
