Deadpool 2 director weighs in on Ryan Reynolds’ being excluded from Marvel Phase 4

Which superhero will be excluded?

David Leitch is the director of Deadpool 2. In the recent panel, he has commented on Ryan Reynolds’ superhero to be excluded from Phase 4 of Marvel Studio. A panel was held at San Diego recently, where the slate of Phase 4 was announced. The exclusion of X-Men and Fantastic Four caught the attention of the members. This also caught the attention of the internet where this news has been displayed worldwide.

With the emergence of Disney’s takeover of 20th Century Fox and its belongings, the well-known Marvel characters will be merged.  They will be merged into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

To begin with, David, the director of Deadpool 2, said that he is unaware of the plans related to Disney. In a recent interview he said, he would not say ‘No’. Also, according to him, the character is a beloved character. He said they will find a way to do that. But I’m just being patient and let everybody take a deep breath and see how it works for them in the new Marvel, Disney world. And, hopefully, I’ll get the call. And that would be cool”.  These are the lines told by him after the panel was held in San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

Future ideas

Deadpool 2 has given a small hint to the audience regarding a future X-Force movie. Adding further, Ryan Reynold said that the series will reflect more team movie. There are consequences being faced by Deadpool 2 after X-Men: Dark Phoenix added to the conclusion of the X-Men series. Deadpool series is now in hands of Marvel Studios which is a family-owned franchise.

Statement of Kevin Feige:

Kevin Feige is the president of Marvel Studio and after the panel held at San Diego, he gave a statement. In his interview he said, he didn’t get time to discuss X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Therefore, the movie has not been added in Phase 4 of Marvel Studio. However, the movie is likely to be added to the Slate of Phase 5 of Marvel Studio.

While all these are confirmed in the slate of Phase 4, X-Men got no confirmation as for now.

Also, according to the reports, David Leitch has planned something for Phase 5 and this phase will have something different for the viewers.

He has always come up with a surprise and maybe this time also the fans get surprised. Kevin has confirmed to bring something unique in this phase. The addition of new characters will also be seen in Phase 5 of Marvel studio.
