Here’s what happened in the previous chapter of Eleceed:
- The chapter begins with Jiwoo getting a call from the Chairwoman of Mir. The awakeners affiliated with Mir are mostly telepathic communicators that can control spirit beasts.
- Jiwoo is visited by E-Seul and her grandmother who turns out to be the chairwoman of Mir he just spoke on the phone with. As expected of the awakeners of Mir, the chairwoman immediately hits off with Jiwoo’s cat who surrounds her.
- To her surprise, only Kaydan and Curtin do not get off on her. The chairwoman believes it’s because of the long-standing telepathic communication between Jiwoo and the two cats. Unbeknownst to her, it is due to the fact that Kaydan and Curtin are not real animals!
- The chairwoman then reveals the reason for her visit. She was surprised after seeing how Jiwoo managed to defeat the beast of the Loutrain Family. The Loutrain family are considered elites in the world of animal telepathic communication. But their strongest creations were defeated by an awakener who does not specialize in animal telepathy.
- Tremendously impressed by the abilities of Jiwoo, the chairwoman of Mir wants to teach him everything about communicating with animals. However, Jiwoo is reluctant to accept the offer.
- Jiwoo is scared of learning what animals feel. Upon hearing this, the chairwoman looks down at the cat on her lap and feels its pain. She understands Jiwoo’s reasoning but asks him to reach out to her if he ever wanted to take up the offer.
