Marvel fans did not have to wait until September 25 to find out what happens in the new Avengers: Endgame Encore footage. Clips from the theatrical re-release have leaked online, revealing four new scenes that appear to connect the 2019 blockbuster directly to Avengers: Doomsday.

The leaked Endgame Encore footage began circulating on social media ahead of the film’s official theatrical release, with Marvel reportedly moving quickly to take down copies through copyright claims. The leaked material reportedly runs for around four minutes and includes appearances or references to Loki, Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter, Bruce Banner, Doctor Doom and the TVA.

And if the leaked footage is accurate, Marvel has packed quite a lot into those extra minutes. The first new scene extends the film’s ending, while the other three play out as post-credits scenes.

The first new scene picks up at the very end of Avengers: Endgame, after Steve Rogers has returned to the past and reunited with Peggy Carter.

The couple is dancing when they suddenly hear a knock at the door.

Steve hides while Peggy answers it.

Standing outside is Loki, wearing his TVA uniform.

Peggy asks if she can help him. Loki’s response is unexpected: he tells her that he can help both of them.

Steve then steps out of hiding and is visibly stunned to see Loki.

And then the scene ends.

That’s it. No explanation. No answer about why Loki has appeared. Just one enormous question hanging over the scene: why does the TVA need to intervene in Steve and Peggy’s life?

Why Is Loki Visiting Steve and Peggy? The Fan Theories

Naturally, fans have already started connecting this to the multiverse. One theory is that Steve’s decision to remain in the past creates a timeline problem that eventually requires Loki’s intervention.

Another theory suggests Loki could move Steve and Peggy to another universe.

But neither theory has been confirmed by Marvel, and the leaked scene itself does not establish that Steve and Peggy are transported to the Fantastic Four’s universe.

For now, Loki’s real purpose remains a mystery.

Post-Credits Scene 1: Doctor Doom Comes for Bruce Banner

The next scene takes us to Bruce Banner.

Banner is living in isolation inside a heavily secured underground facility following the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He is apparently working on a way to suppress his gamma radiation and prevent the Hulk from getting out.

Then something goes very wrong.

The lights begin to flicker before the facility goes dark.

Banner realizes that someone has entered.

He asks who is there.

A voice responds.

Doctor Doom.

Doom tells Banner that he has come to “collect” him.

Banner transforms into the Hulk, but before we get a full confrontation, a flash of green light appears and Latverian symbols are seen on the ground.

Doom has seemingly taken Banner.

Why Does Doctor Doom Want the Hulk?

The scene doesn’t explain why Doom wants Hulk, but it does establish that Bruce Banner is now part of whatever Doom is planning.

And considering what is happening elsewhere in the new footage, that timing may be important.

Post-Credits Scene 2: The TVA Watches the Multiverse Collapse

Then we return to the Time Variance Authority.

And this time, the problem is much bigger than one timeline.

Mobius is back at the TVA, alongside characters including O.B., Casey and Miss Minutes. The TVA is monitoring an incursion involving Earth-10005, the universe associated with Fox’s X-Men films, and another reality identified as Earth-1127.

The situation rapidly escalates.

The TVA monitors show more universes being affected, with realities beginning to collide. In the reported footage, O.B. eventually realizes just how serious the situation has become.

The multiverse is collapsing.

That could be one of the most important pieces of the new Endgame Encore footage because it gives Avengers: Doomsday a much clearer starting point.

This isn’t simply one universe having a problem.

The entire multiverse could be heading toward destruction.

Final Post-Credits Scene: Doctor Doom Gets His Own Iron Man Moment

Then comes one of the most deliberate callbacks.

The familiar sound of Tony Stark hammering metal while building his Iron Man suit begins playing. It’s the same clanging that closed out the credits of the original Avengers: Endgame.

But Tony isn’t there.

Instead, we see Doctor Doom forging his mask.

It’s difficult to miss the parallel. The MCU once introduced Tony Stark through the image and sound of a man building the armor that would define him.

Now, that same kind of imagery is being used for Doom.

Is Doctor Doom a Tony Stark Variant?

The connection becomes even more striking because Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom, rather than Tony Stark. That has some fans wondering whether Doom could be a variant of Tony Stark.

Whether the callback has a deeper meaning or is simply a deliberate visual parallel remains unknown.

How Endgame Encore Sets Up Avengers: Doomsday

So what is Doom building? This is where the four scenes start becoming particularly interesting.
