A lot of information about the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series is pouring in now that the new trailer has caused a surge among fans.

With the success of WandaVision, Marvel is more than hyped to bring to fans the next phase 4 project. It is most likely that Falcon and the Winter Soldier will surpass WandaVision in every way possible, given the records it has already broken.

In the new trailer, we see Bucky and Sam fight some mask-wearing group, and we also get to see that guy Zemo from the Civil War who gave a reason for half of the Avengers to be on the run.

Songbird or Flag-Smasher?

With the British actor Erin Kellyman’s character not yet officially announced, the trailer gave a lot of clues as to what she is. There were rumors that she will be playing the role of Melissa Gold, a.k.a Song Bird from the comics.

This character from the comics was a member of the all-female villain group called the Grapplers. Now, the mask that she was wearing and a description for a promotional t-shirt shed some light on something totally different.

“Check out this paint splatter graphic featuring Karli Morgenthau, leader of The Flag Smashers!”

Yes, we are talking about the girl that actually kicked Bucky’s butt that Falcon couldn’t stop laughing about. Apparently, fans were wrong about her being Songbird.

So, now the question, who is Karli Morgenthau?

First of all, as done before, Marvel has done a gender swap as the leader of the Flag Smashers in the comics is Karl Morgenthau.

If this character is anything like the comics then, she is called the Flag-Smasher, the leader of U.L.T.I.M.T.U.M, an anarchist group hell-bent on smashing nationalism and uniting the world.

iWell, the name gives out that info, and it doesn’t look like they will be doing it in a serene and noble way. But there were set photos and videos showing Karli fighting the US Agent.

Mind Control

In the comics, Karl Morgenthau has no superpower. One of the reasons why many thought Erin Kellyman was Songbird is because eye witness on the set confirmed that people near to Kellyman on the scene were in some kind of trance.

Now, mind-controlling is one of Songbird’s superpower, and thus many concluded it was that character US Agent was seen fighting. But with the merchandise and the trailers, we got to know she is Flag-Smasher and not Songbird.

Now, this theory remains as the eyewitnesses are sure that Kellyman used some superpower on her enemies. There are also chances that Marvel gave her a superpower now for the series, so that’s that.
