Godzilla vs Kong: Here’s why Kong left Skull Island

During the events of Godzilla vs Kong, we found some things that happened that not everyone knows very well the reasons for.

One of those things is when we saw Kong leave the Skull Island, which unleashed a lot of very interesting things and led to the first big fight between the two powerful beings, namely Godzilla and King Kong.

What many do not remember is that it was announced at the beginning that the Skull Island, home of King Kong himself, was completely uninhabitable thanks to an extremely powerful electrical storm, which led to the decision to remove the creature from the island for its own safety.

But now we have more information about this, because in the graphic novel that serves as a prequel to the film, we can find that the storm did not arrive on the island by chance, but is directly connected with the events that took place in the previous film in the Monster-verse, which is 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

It is there that we see a confrontation between Godzilla and his nemesis King Ghidorah. And as you recall, this last three-headed monster is capable of creating storms, plus it could sense the presence of every other kaiju in the world, Kong being one of them.

Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Gave Ghidorah His First Real Win

It turns out that this storm was meant to change the world completely, but once it was defeated and it becomes as if the storm completely disappeared, it is revealed that the storm never left Skull Island, becoming a phenomenon that was called “The Gift of the Devil”. And it was said, it was like a kind of reminder so that they will never forget him.
