Here’s Why Marvel Zombies Was Not Made Into A Movie

Marvel Zombies debuted this Wednesday on Disney+, and fans are eating it up for its epic fight scenes and gory battles.

Those who do not mind seeing things get out of hand in a fight may love the Marvel Zombies anime more than the rest.

The reviews for the anime are coming in hot, and fans are praising Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch character, who is the main antagonist, as the Dead Queen.

While some are happy they got to witness this 4-part anime series, many wondered why this wasn’t made into a feature film instead.

The answer is Spider-Man. Sony holds the primary rights to Spider-Man, and if Marvel needs to use the character without clashing with Sony, it should be within 30 minutes.

As Spider-Man’s character is one of the main protagonists in this production, it is not possible to keep it that short, so Marvel went for a 4-part series and opted out of an anime feature film.

The Marvel-Sony Spider-Man debate is seriously annoying, but that’s how the legal world works, so fans have no say in what is right.

But there’s more; if we had Chadwick Boseman, this would’ve been a completely different story. Marvel had decided not to recast Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa character in order to respect and honour the legacy of the beloved actor.

We have no complaints there.

But with T’Challa, it is said that the Marvel Zombies would’ve gone on a bigger scale, and the Sony Spider-Man issue would’ve not restricted it.
