Horimiya Season 2: Release Date and What to Expect?
The freshly released anime series Horimiya is gaining attention from the anime community due to its feel-good romance and engrossing plot. It has given us few episodes until now, but the popularity keeps growing day by day. The anime has it all, ranging from fine humour to likeable characters or exciting romance.
The anime adaptation by Cloverworks premiered in January 2021. It is taken out from the web manga series created by Hiroki Adachi, under the pseudonym Hero. The opening theme song of the series is ‘Color Song’ by Yoh Kamiyama, while Friends performed the ending theme ‘Promise’.

Will there be a Season 2 of Horimiya?
The first season will run for 13 episodes. The first episode came out on January 10, 2021 on Tokyo MX and other channels. Fans outside Asia can stream it on Funimation, Wakanim and Animelab, while Bilibili is streaming it for Southeast Asian viewers.
Regarding season 2, there is no official statement from the production team. Since the show is still going on, it might be too early to expect anything right now. However, if we look at the recognition the show is getting, a renewal is highly possible. Let’s hope that an update from the makers will be there soon!
What can we expect from Season 2?
The plot centers around Kyoko Hori and Izumi Miyamura; Hori is a popular high school girl while Izumi carries a nerdy glasses-wearing look. But they maintain very different lives outside the school. Hori is a homebody who takes care of the household and her brother, whereas Izumi sports multiple earrings and tattoos.
When both of them find out that they are hiding their true selves, they decide to keep each other’s secrets. This mutual understanding between them gradually leads to friendship and then their romance blooms.
We can expect season 2 of the anime to take their relationship to the next level. No doubt, the story will be a continuation of the manga. Unfortunately, fans have to wait for the next season to be released to see what happens next!
