How Tom Holland Helped Jake Gyllenhaal While Filming Spider-Man: Far From Home

The cast of the latest Spider-Man has caught the attention of many and will continue to do so. According to media outlets, we’ve recently learned that while shooting Spider-Man: Far From Home, Gyllenhaal was also filled with anxiety. But it’s clear that there was a lot of chemistry and bonding off-screen as Tom Holland helped Jake Gyllenhaal out and made him understand the situation better.

It’s only natural for even the best actors to make mistakes. In a recent interview, Gyllenhaal shared that he initially panicked on his first day on the set of shooting. However, his co-star Tom Holland came to his rescue and helped ease his anxiety.

In a virtual interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, actor Gyllenhaal revealed that the pressure along with the acting is extremely “hard. “It’s hard, man,” teh 40 year old admitted.

“That acting is hard. All of it. That world is enormous,” actor Gyllenhaal said. He also told Stern about the scene where he was filled with anxiety. “It was a train that was already moving,” Gyllenhaal said.

He recalled the time he forgot his lines. “They were like, ‘Whoa.’ And I went up to Tom Holland and was like, ‘Dude, help me out.’ He was like, ‘It’s all good, man. Just relax.’”.

Gyllenhaal added that the two shared a deep connection at that moment. “It was like he was me in so many situations,” he said. The actor revealed that he often puts a lot of pressure on himself on set but he eventually learned how to relax, thanks to Holland’s help.

The film that the duo was seen together was a sequel to “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. This film marked Holland’s fifth appearance as the character of Spider-Man / Peter Parker from New York.
