Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness met each other on the set of the drama, Correlli. When they first met, Jackman was an unknown actor who had just received his first major role, while Furness was already a star.

It probably wasn’t love at first sight but the duo liked each other a lot. Eventually, their professional relationship developed into something more. Jackman said that initially, he was embarrassed that he felt more for his costar than platonic companionship.

The actor’s attraction towards Furness grew as they worked together. He even cut her off and stopped speaking to her for a week to let his feelings die down.

Jackman explained, “Deb and I were already best friends, and I realized I’ve got a crush on my leading lady. This is the thing you do not do. It’s unprofessional and embarrassing.”
