Kevin Feige Talks about Keanu

While being the highlight of this year’s E3 press event after making an unexpected appearance, Reeves is having a busy year. Practically entire social media is suffering from Keanu fever.

Recently, Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige talked with Comicbook.com where he confirmed that Keanu Reeves was approached multiple times for the Marvel roles which were earlier denied by him. Still, they are hopeful that a link-up will come to pass.

“We talk to him for almost every film we make,” He went on to say, “I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Keanu Reeves’ attachment to the MCU. He reportedly was up for the role of Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel until scheduling conflicts with John Wick 3 lead him to drop out and Jude Law to take on the role.

Further, Feige was asked about other future MCU debutants like Millie Bobby Brown and Donnie Yen.

In response, Feige expressed praise but stopped short of the active recruitment tactics mentioned regarding Reeves.

Reeves is among the artists assembled to help guide us through a big collective cry with this week’s Toy Story 4.

Tom Hanks, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Christina Hendricks, Bonnie Hunt, Annie Potts, and some guy named Tim Allen are also in the mix.

Feige compared Marvel’s interest in Reeves to Jake Gyllenhaal, who Feige said he talked to “multiple times” before Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home became the perfect fit for him.

Rumors of Keanu Reeves’ potential casting in The Eternals also surfaced a couple of weeks ago, and he has been vocal about his interest in playing the next Wolverine.

Kevin Feige’s comments certainly make his involvement in The Eternals more of a solid possibility now!

Future Projects of Keanu

The actor is already set to star in two sequels for the next two summers: Bill and Ted Face the Music in August 2020 and John Wick: Chapter 4 in May 2021. Now we don’t know when The

If The Eternals isn’t the right place for Keanu Reeves, he would be a great choice for Wolverine! Kevin Feige now has the rights to add the X-Men to his MCU roster but there is one problem: Dark Phoenix just flopped. Fox’s last X-Men entry almost guarantees Disney will want to wait before touching the franchise.

In the meantime, you can get your dose of Keanu Reeves this Friday with his character Duke Kaboom in Toy Story 4, or catch John Wick: Chapter 3 before it leaves theaters…
