Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan Split
Michael B. Jordan, an actor known for his prominent roles in films like Black Panther and Fantastic Four, and model Lori Harvey seem to have split after spending a little over a year together. News outlet People first reported that the pair had decided to break up a week ago, and a source was quoted saying, “Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan are both completely heartbroken. They still love each other.
Michael matured a lot throughout their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time.” The source further also added that the alleged reason for the breakup was that the two stars were at different places in their lives and careers, and could not seem to make things work out.
This does make sense to a large extent, as the two have an age gap of ten years, with Lori being just twenty-five and starting with her career. Despite this, she is also the daughter of the famous comedian Steve Harvey and does not lack anything so far in terms of material or social prowess.
The split may come off as a surprise to a lot of people, as the two lovebirds seemed to be going strong. Jordan had told The Hollywood Reporter just in December that thanks to Harvey he had “finally found what love was.” He also added that he wanted to “give this the best chance it had, in this weird world that we live in, to be somewhat normal…It was the right time for me…” concerning making the relationship public. Further, the pair were all over each other’s Instagram and social media platforms, flourishing each other with pictures and comments.
All that had changed now, however. Lori has removed all of her pictures with Michael on social media platforms, and also unfollowed him; Michael however, has retained his pictures with Lori despite unfollowing her as well. Chiming in on the breakup, Harvey’s father, Steve Harvey, confirmed it on his morning radio show, stating that he had heard about it and that, “I wish them well. I’m Team Lori, 1,000 percent. She’s my daughter. I love her. I support her.” He also eluded to the fact that there was no bad blood between the two parties and that sometimes “things just happen.”
Jokingly, he added “Look, as long as everybody can walk away in peace, be friends…I ain’t heard anybody say they busted any windows or anything. As long as you don’t put your hands on my daughter, I don’t give a damn what you do.”
