Mairimashita! Iruma Kun Chapter 223 Recap

Here’s what happened in the previous chapter of Iruma Kun.

Iruma’s first days as a second-year has just begun. But he has already found himself rather busy; troubling Kalego sensei and getting a weird stat sheet from his aptitude test. He feels the wind of change starting to blow.

Iruma is greeted excitedly by his friends. He is happy that things are always the same with them. They were discussing which path to take to their classroom when suddenly a huge crowd of students rushed by. The First Year Ranks had been announced.

Zeze pops out of the crowd to explain the situation. He explains that the list contained the names of the 26 brightest demons, standing atop the other first years. He however remarked that they cannot outshine a lovely flower-like himself. 

Zeze was the second-highest scorer on the entrance exam. He also came first place in the Netherworld’s next top beauty contest as well as the Demon Magazine’s hottest demon of the year. As a result, Zeze had garnered quite a following in school and an ego to match.

Asmodeus is however irked by Zeze. He mentions that he goes unnoticed only because of his flashy clothes. Zeze is unbothered and continues to explain the origin of his nickname to which Asmodeus replies that he never asked.

Zeze is interrupted by Chima and Sylvia who push him to the ground. Chima hurried to tell Iruma that she had come first in the flying race. According to her friend Sylvia, she performed amazingly in the race. Though Chima tells that her friend did amazing herself. Chima had also been chosen among the top 26.

Meanwhile, Zeze chips in to say that he won’t lose next weekend. However, Chima remarks that she doesn’t know who he is. Feeling insulted, Zeze declares that he won’t allow Chima to steal the show next weekend.

Cutting scenes to Kalego sensei, he announces to the class that their Rank Promotion Exams are next weekend. He reveals that a completely new special test called Heartbreaker will be conducted for their class. In the test, they will be teamed up with the first years and the opponents will be the teachers of Babyls.
