Marvel has decided to temporarily halt development on Blade, a reboot of the well-known vampire hunter series that was scheduled to hit theatres in 2023. The Hollywood Reporter has just reported that the upcoming Blade movie, which is set in the MCU, has suspended production while it looks for a new director. Mahershala Ali plays the lead in the blade reboot, and filming was slated to start in November. According to reports, the crew was informed on Tuesday that production will shift to the beginning of 2023. The Blade movie probably won’t be finished by then, according to THR, given that the current release date is November 3, 2023.

This probably indicates that the release date will have to be delayed, which is unfortunate for the character’s admirers. The most likely scenario is that the movie will be released in 2024. According to THR, the choice was made when director Bassam Tariq left the undertaking two weeks ago. Marvel will use the hiatus to continue developing it while looking for a replacement.

It would be simple to conclude that the movie is having production issues given the claims that Blade is getting a complete script rework. THR’s sources told them that the studio wants to “really get it right,” nevertheless. The studio seems prepared to invest the time necessary to create a Blade movie deserving of the character’s devotees. Additionally, the project exudes confidence with Ali’s casting. Ali is probably going to do the project justice as a brilliant, Oscar-winning actor.

However, some people will probably continue to worry about Blade Reboot even after it premieres. Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe flicks that came after Avengers: Endgame has felt aimless. The project was supposed to start filming in November, but it will now probably start in 2023, delaying its release until 2024. It will now be included in MCU Phase 5.
