After the passing of William Hurt, Harrison Ford, known for his roles in Star Wars and Indiana Jones, will step into the role of General “Thunderbolt” Ross in Captain America: Brave New World.

For some time now, it’s been known that Ross becomes the U.S. President. Footage shown at CinemaCon reportedly featured him instructing Sam Wilson to assemble a new team of Avengers.

It’s also been widely discussed that General Ross will undergo a significant change when he transforms into the Red Hulk. The first official set photo from the movie (before its original release date this year) depicted Ford in torn pants. Rumor has it that the new Captain America will confront the villain on the White House lawn.

When Is Captain America: Brave New World Releasing?

The movie is set to release on February 14, 2025, worldwide in theaters, and this will be Anthony Mackie’s first appearance as Captain America on the big screen, and now with the added possibility of seeing the Red Hulk on the screen as well.

Captain America: Brave New World is directed by Julius Onah. The screenplay was written by Onah, Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. Spellman also serves as a producer alongside Kevin Feige and Nate Moore. The film features Carl Lumbly, Shira Haas, Danny Ramirez, Rosa Salazar, and WWE Superstar Seth Rollins.
