Michael B. Jordan Talks About his return in MCU

There are many times when a particular figure just leaves an effect on you without your understanding why or how. Erik Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan was one among those characters. The actor who played Erik Killmonger in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan, recently used social media to post a highly cryptic message that might give fans the aforementioned surprise.

Jordan discussed a potential comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a recent interview with ExtraTV while talking about Creed III. The actor acknowledges that he has no idea whether such a thing is even conceivable, but if there were ever a chance for Jordan to rejoin the franchise, he would be glad to do it.

I don’t know if it’s a possibility. I mean, at one point or another, being able to be in the Marvel Universe was like a dream come true and if there was an opportunity for me to come back, of course I would. I’m not one of those guys like ‘oh no, I would never.’ Working with [director Ryan Coogler], what we did on that first project and what Marvel does as a whole is something that, as a fan, as a nerd and geek that I am, I just love to see those movies and those characters come to life.

For the animated anthology series What If…? on Disney+, which investigated other possibilities in the multiverse, Jordan did make a comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his character died in Black Panther and reprised his role as Killmonger. Even so, there are a number of theories about how Killmonger might appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, including one in which the character is resurrected and succeeds T’Challa as the ruler of Wakanda and the next Black Panther. Fans are still eager to see Jordan’s return in a live-action setting.

Michael B. Jordan is unlikely to make a comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, despite the numerous intricate theories that persist. There is still a chance that another version of Erk Stevens could exist in this huge multiverse even if he doesn’t in the next sequel.
