When the dust unleashed by Spider-Man: No Way Home has settled, Marvel fans will have little time to recover before the release of the highly anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Sam Raimi’s new cinematography starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen.

The WandaVision actress nominated for the 2021 Emmy Awards is at the center of a new rumor on the plot of the film that emerged in the past few hours and which has already been able to send fans into fibrillation:

According to what emerged first from the cryptic Grace Randolph and then from the most reliable insider Daniel Richtman, well known for his inside information. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wanda will fight against a character from former Fox. The scooper specifies that he is not authorized to reveal the identity of the mysterious character, but as you can see in the posts at the bottom of the article, Randolph specifies that the reason for this fight is related to the fact that Wanda will be the villain of Doctor Strange 2.

The suggestion had already made its way in the past, especially after the conclusion of the TV series WandaVision. Elizabeth Olsen herself has confirmed that Doctor Strange 2 will make different use of the Scarlet Witch character, alluding to the possibility that the film actually ends up showing the ‘Dark Side‘ of her magical superheroine.

This is certainly a tempting eventuality for fans (who would win in a fight between Wanda and Doctor Strange?), But the number of potential candidates for the generic term of ‘former Fox character’ is certainly not limited. The first to come to mind is undoubtedly the Magneto, as in the Comics, the two were originally father and daughter.

The list goes on and on, especially when it comes to the X-Men: Cyclops, Jean Gray as Phoenix, Polaris, Wolverine, Rogue. It’s certainly a hard circle to narrow down and bringing up the characters related to the Fantastic Four. However, needles in the gigantic haystack would get smaller and smaller. Not to mention that Grace Randolph, in her tweet, also mentions ‘Sony characters.’ For the moment, therefore, the advice is to limit yourself to recording this statement and wait for further updates.

Tweets From Both Accounts:

Benedict Cumberbatch will return in the role of the Sorcerer Supreme in Spider-Man: No Way Home, whose release is scheduled for December. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in March 2022.
