Ultron Returns to Disney+ — But This Time, He’s Teddy Bear-Obsessed?

Marvel fans, brace yourselves—Ultron is back on Disney+. But before you expect chilling monologues and world-ending plans, know this: he’s now chasing teddy bears.

In a surprising appearance on the Disney Jr. series Meet Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, Ultron ditches his terrifying Avengers: Age of Ultron persona for something far stranger. Episode 9, titled “Meet Ultron,” introduces a completely reimagined version of the metal menace—complete with a silly voice, cartoonish design, and a mission to confiscate kids’ toys.

Ultron, but make it preschool-friendly

This version of Ultron isn’t the AI overlord MCU fans remember. He’s a bumbling, childlike villain obsessed with plush toys and easily outsmarted by a teddy bear trap. The animators even sneak in a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure pose, adding to the episode’s delightfully weird tone. It’s clear the creators leaned into the absurdity—and the result is strangely entertaining.

Not Ultron’s first or last Disney+ ride

This isn’t Ultron’s first Disney+ appearance. He previously returned in What If…?, voiced by Ross Marquand, in a much darker multiversal storyline. But his next confirmed comeback in Vision Quest (set for 2026) might be his most unexpected yet—rumors suggest he’ll appear in human form, once again played by James Spader.

A three-part transformation across Disney+

From a genocidal AI to a JoJo-posing teddy thief, and soon to a human character—Ultron’s evolution on Disney+ is nothing short of bizarre. While the original Age of Ultron version struck fear, these newer takes are reinventing the character for wildly different audiences.
