Vin Diesel potentially spoils his Guardians of the Galaxy character Groot and others appearing in the upcoming Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder.

Vin Diesel has ruined the Guardians of the Galaxy by appearing in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Thor: Love and Thunder. Marvel Studios last year staged MCU’s 3rd phase of Avengers: Endgame – and, to a lesser extent, Spider-Man: Away from Home. The end of The Avengers: Endgame gave way to where many beloved characters would go.

After joining Avengers: Infinity War, Chris Hemsworth joined the Guardians of the Galaxy on their ship at the end of Endgame, suggesting that their stories will continue in the 4th stage and beyond.

But when Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige unveiled the MCU Phase 4 at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 last summer, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was not on it. Instead, Hemsworth will reprise his MCU role in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder, set for a November 2021 release date. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is under development, but it won’t be released after Thor 4.

So far, it’s not clear whether fans can expect Guardians to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder though one of the actors spills the beans.

Speaking with ComicBook.com about his upcoming film Bloodshot, Vin Diesel discusses his role as Groot and his appearance in the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder.

Diesel said: “I am waiting and excited for my friend James Gunn to knock this next one out of the park. He took The Suicide Squad, so he’s about to embark on it. Thor will also– the director talked to me about how Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be very interesting. Nobody knows– maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.”
