This series quickly captured the attention of so many viewers and became an instant hit in the anime community. The popularity was so much that a second season was announced just as Season 1 was wrapping up.

How Does The Story Begin?
The story follows the adventures of the main protagonist, Satori Mikami who has reincarnated as a slime in a fantasy world. He was previously a 37 year old plain corporate worker in Tokyo who lived a monotonous life.
When he first wakes up alive in this new fantasy world, he finds that his body is that of a slime. This is because at the last moments of his death, he complained about bleeding. So, in this new life, he gets a body that will not bleed. He has two special abilities, one of which is ‘Great Sage’- a voice full of wisdom in his head that analyses and offers encyclopedic knowledge.
His other ability is the Predator skill which allows him to absorb the skills of the creatures he consumes. He becomes close to Veldora who is an imprisoned Tempest Dragon and after they strike a deal, he absorbs Veldora with his Predator ability.
This way, he quickly becomes the most powerful creature in the dungeon. After this, he decides to venture out into the outside world. Free from his previous dull life, Rimuru embarks on a wonderful journey to make the best of this life!
Rimuru’s Plan For Unity
In the Jura Forest, he meets a goblin tribe and protects them from the wolf pack by defeating the wolves. He becomes the respected leader of both groups and peacefully unites them into one tribe and gives them names so they can evolve. Naming is a highly significant aspect in this world and requires a huge amount of magic.
After this, he gradually increases his group of allies which include ocrs, ogres, lizard people, dwarven smiths, and even a demon lord. Rimuru is very happy and proud of the progress he’s made.
He also makes alliances with other foreign nations. Even established kingdoms like Blumund and Dwargon offer friendly ties to the Jura Tempest Federation. The Federation is increasingly becoming more influential, as you’ll see in season 2 as well. But this isn’t his only focus, his other aim is to fulfill Shizue Izawa’s wish.
Shizue’s Last Wish
Shizue is a wandering hero who Rimuru encounters early on in the series. She is someone who has reincarnated from real life Japan just like Rimuru. As per her dying request, Rimuru eats her and promises to look after her students who are also isekai summons. Rimuru keeps his promise and goes to Freedom Academy to become their teacher.
