Would A Male Female Titan Have Feminine Qualities?

In the anime world, there is much debate about whether a male Female Titan would have feminine qualities. Nothing official has been said in this regard by the producer Mappa Studios.

Even Hajime Isayama, the writer of the show,  has not spoken anything on this subject. But the Attack of Titan fanbase is still curious. We have uncovered certain clues that could point towards an answer. Read this article to find out if a male can become the Female Titan!

Who are pure Titans?

Before we get into the actual discussion it might benefit us to understand who are Pure Titans. They are somewhat insensible, have enlarged forms, and are ferocious. They are regularly used to attack humans and mercilessly slaughter them.

Pure Titans have no feminine features or female body shapes as most of them use a male body prototype. Armin, Commander Pixis, Levi’s Comrades, Falco are all also distinctly male in their pure form. Connie’s mother and Dina Fritz both retain certain feminine features like long hair and feminine facial features, but the gender of their pure forms is still ambiguous.

Do Titan Shifters have feminine bodies?

However, the subject of Titan Shifters further complicates this question. After the death of Ymir Fritz, nine Titan powers were passed down for 2000 years through the Eldian people. The Nine Titans usually resided within noble families during Eldia’s reign.

These included the Founding Titan, the Armored Titan, the Attack Titan, the Beast Titan, the Cart Titan, the Colossus Titan, the Female Titan, the Jaw Titan and the War Hammer Titan.

We know of six females who enjoyed the power of the nine Titans; these included Ymir Fritz, Freida Reiss, Pieck Finger, Anne Leonhart, Lara Tybur and Historia’s Ymir. Out of these six, Ymir’s Founding Titan, Freida Reiss and Anne exhibit feminine traits, including big breasts and long hair.

We speculate that Ymir Fritz created Titans in the form of males because of the bond she had with First King Fritz. The important thing to note here is that although the wielders of these powers change, the powers themselves do not.

Male Female Titan: Would a man have feminine qualities as the Female Titan?

All the Nine Titan Shifters have their roles and physical attributes pre-assigned to them. It does not matter who wields the power, say of the Female or the Jaw Titan, the form remains the same.

Supposing a male character like Armin or Erwin devoured Annie, the current holder of the power of Female Titan, they would not only get all the powers associated with it but also the preset physical attributes.

So Armin or Erwin would get abilities like superagility, hardening of the outer body besides breasts and long hair. Hence, even if a man becomes a Female Titan, he would still retain the feminine body qualities of a female, including prominent breasts and long hair.
