Writers Reveal if Captain America Can Survive Using The Infinity Gauntlet

MCU came up with some of the best epics in Phase 3. The Ending had fairly a good script with lot of action, revenge and emotions that made fans stick to chair for 3 hours. Their were many things which directors revealed after the epic movie, Avengers: Endgame hit the theater.

Froma long time, Marvel Cinematic Universe is wielding an Infinity Stone is inherently dangerous and can be lethal for many. The Infinity Gauntlet if used with all stones can be destructive enough as we saw in Marvel flicks.

What if Captain America uses Infinity Gauntlet.

Recently Avengers: Endgame screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely had talks with THR. They revealed that they don’t believe Steve Rogers aka Captain America could have used the Gauntlet and lived. Fans theorized that Steve’s ability to hold Thanos briefly at bay in the climax of Infinity War suggests that the stones recognized his willpower.

Cap could have meant that the Super Soldier could’ve survived wielding the stones. Infinity Gauntlet possessed enough power that only figures like Thanos and the Hulk were strong to use the Infinity Gauntlet and survive.

“I think Steve would be toast,” Markus explained.

“I think in that moment, Thanos is impressed by Steve’s will. He’s like, ‘I can’t believe this guy who apparently has no powers is trying this.’ He’s almost like, ‘Really? Really?‘” So, despite the super soldier serum pumping through his veins, Steve would have been incapable of surviving the Gauntlet.”

Steve Rogers is a super soldier powered by special serum, but he can’t be compared with powerful Thanos and Hulk. Though both the brutals survived all six Infinity Stones and survived, while Iron Man died. But Captain America may not be powerful enough with his strength and agility. It’s a popular fan theory that maybe he could, as he managed to briefly hold Thanos off in Wakanda.

Infinity Wars endings shows, Cap pushed Thanos back by holding his Infinity Gauntlet covered hand.

“When Earth’s mightiest heroes journey back through time to retrieve the six Infinity Stones from the past after Thanos reduces them to atoms, they assemble the six Stones needed to reverse The Decimation and revive The Vanished after a five-year period,” said the writers.

This is only made possible through the effort of the Hulk, who argues he’s the only Avenger capable of surviving such a feat. When he wills trillions of lives back into existence, it comes at the cost of his right arm — now irreparably damaged.

“He’s lost an arm. He lost Natasha. That’s not coming back,” director Joe Russo told ComicBook.com.

“He’s damaged himself. I don’t know. It’s interesting. That’s permanent damage, the same way that it was permanent damage with Thanos. It’s irreversible damage. His arm, if you noticed, is a lot skinnier. It’s blackened. So, he loses a lot of strength there.”

“Maybe someone helps him repair that. Maybe someone gives him a new arm. I have no idea where that character goes from here. The nice thing is we didn’t have to pay attention to where it goes after this, we just try to tell a satisfying ending.”

Endgame had a sad ending when our beloved Iron- Man utilized again The Infinity Gauntlet, whose own snap annihilated Thanos. Despite the protection offered by his Iron Man armor, the blowback proved too damaging, leaving him fatally wounded.
