Backflip!! is a new Japanese animated television series animated by Zexcs.

The Director is Toshimasa Kuroyanagi and it is written by Toshizo Nemoto.

Toshizo Nemoto has worked on Cyborg 009, Kuroko’s Basketball, and Get Backers.

Similarly, Toshimasa Kuroyanagi worked on Ao no Exorcist and Guilty Crown.

Zexcs is known for its animation of Sister Princess and Diabolik Lovers.

The studio is located in Toganei, Tokyo.

The series’ opening song is Seishun no Enbu by Centimillimental.

The ending is Anata ga Iru by wacci.

The plot revolves around the gymnastics team of Soshukan High School also known as Ao High.

Shotaro Futaba is a first-year student who plays several sports however he is always benched.

After witnessing the Men’s Rhythmic Gymnastics team at a tournament, he becomes inspired.

As a result of this inspiration, he joins the rhythmic gymnastics team in his new school Soshukan High.

Here, he befriends the ace gymnast of the school Ryoya Misato.

Because of this friendship, Shotaro pushes himself to newer heights with the help of his friends.

Backflip!! is not as popular as other animes in the category of sport.

However, the anime is quite revolutionary in its approach.

The animation is praised by many viewers for its visual accuracy.

The animations are spot on and they show great attention to detail.

The breathing of characters in between poses, flinching during held poses, accurate choreography, and characters moving a little out of sync are visualized well.

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a hard sport to present visually but the animations are spot on.

All of these details separate it from other animes in this genre.
