Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle’s English Subtitled Trailer is Out!

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Crunchyroll began streaming the English-subtitled trailer for HAIKYUU!! The Dumpster Battle is the initial film in the two-part Haikyuu!! Final sequel film project.

The movie will be shown in theaters across North America on May 31st, featuring Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub.

The movie debuted in Japan on February 16 and is also available in IMAX format. Susumu Mitsunaka is known for directing and scripting the first and third seasons of the Haikyuu!! television anime helmed both directing and writing duties for the film.

Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle’s Plot

Crunchyroll describes the film’s story:

Shoyo Hinata joins Karasuno High’s volleyball club to be like his idol, a former Karasuno player known as the “Little Giant.” But Hinata soon finds he must team up with his middle school nemesis, Tobio Kageyama. Their clashing styles turn into a surprising weapon, but can they beat their rival Nekoma High in the highly anticipated “Dumpster Battle,” the long-awaited ultimate showdown between two opposing underdog teams?

The initial story arc of Haikyuu!!, the rivalry between Karasuno High and Nekoma High’s volleyball teams was sparked. Now, with a full national stadium, they’ll have their ultimate showdown. Both teams will demonstrate their development as characters and athletes to determine the winner in this decisive match, known as the definitive showdown between Karasuno’s crows and Nekoma’s cats.

Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle is already promising to come out as the best anime movie of 2024. Everyone is excited to see the Crows’ battle with the Cats on the court.
