Many mangakas go through states of intense stress from their editors as well as demanding fans. This sorry state of affairs has contributed to many potential and interested people to opt-out of becoming a mangaka.

That’s why it’s extremely concerning to hear the tragic news of Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen. Recently, Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen will be going into hiatus.

The reasons for this hiatus are due to the Jujutsu Kaisen Mangaka Gege Akutami suffering from poor physical health. However, he claimed that he’s not in serious condition and his mental health is not in jeopardy. Thus, he’ll be away for probably a month, which is good news for both fans and Akutami.

The hiatus will begin from Shonen Jump’s 29th issue beginning from June 21. However, a new manga chapter will premiere on June 14 because the author had enough time and good health till then.
