Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is a rom-com manga series by Aka Akasaka. It began serializing in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump in May 2015. But in March 2016, it was transferred to Weekly Young Jump. And in North America, the manga is licensed in English by Viz Media.

Known for being both brilliant and powerful, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya lead the illustrious Shuchiin Academy as near equals. And everyone thinks they’d make a great couple. Since pride and arrogance are plentiful, it is only logical to make the other fooled into going on a date. A Brief Recap of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War Chapter 249

After the breakup call from Kaguya, Miyuki is on the terrace contemplating the reason behind it all. While he’s thinking about it, Seiryu Shinomiya arrives to offer 10 million yen to Miyuki as a token of understanding. But the president isn’t happy about it because to the Shinomiya’s it’s all about money and nothing else.

Although Seiryu tries to reason out with Miyuki as to why he’s doing it. He says that things between Shinmoiya and Shijo have been quite unwell and unprofitable for the business. Although there’s one way to make amends and stop it all – by marrying Kaguya in the Shijo family.

For a moment there, Miyuki fazes but quickly returns back to his normal self and mocks Seiryu. According to him, Kaguya is worth almost 20 billion yen and he can’t be merely satisfied with 10 million yen. To him, the money currently on the table is way less than what could have been a token of understanding. And thus, he raises the bar to 1 billion yen.

Seeing that he has not much of a choice, Seiryu agrees to Miyuki’s conditions and transfer the money. Afterward, Hayasaka arrives to find Miyuki being devoured by the idea of him being a billionaire.
