Talk about a gorgeous and talented casting! Text For You is the English remake of a German Film, SMS Fur Dich.
Rom-Com
The movie is an adaption of Sofie Cramer’s novel. The story revolves around two people (Priyanka Chopra) who lost her fiancé recently and, in reminisces of old days, keep texting to his old number, which is now owned by Sam Heughan’s character, who also underwent something similar. They both try to move on, but the past has a grasp over them.
Celine Dion will play the passionate singer and soulful artist as she is in real life too. Her life and her songs inspire these two broken souls to come together and leave the past behind.
Who Does What
Jim Strouse is directing, and Lauryn Kahnis is doing the re-write. Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Esther Hornstein are producing. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who has five movies in her deck like ‘Matrix 4’ has joined the cast. Sam Heughan of Outlander fame will play the hero in the film.
Chopra Has her hands full
Sam Heughan was last seen in Bloodshot opposite Vin Diesel. Priyanka Chopra, who is married to American singer/actor Nick Jonas, will be seen next in White Tiger, for Netflix. She also has another movie directed by Robert Rodriguez, “We Can Be Heroes,” which is on the way for release. She is currently along with Mindy Kaling developing a comedy movie for Universal. Chopra is also in the slates for Russo Brother’s Matrix 4 and Citadel.
Celine Dion and Acting
Celine Dion is no stranger to the stage, but she shies away went it comes to movie roles. Since this movie will portray her actual life as a singer, we guess that’s what got her onboard.
Tentative Title
The movie’s title is just tentative, and the production is yet to announce the actual name of this rom-com.
No other information has been received officially. With Priyanka Chopra’s busy schedule and the restrictions posed by the ongoing pandemic, we think the movie will most probably hit the screen in 2022.
