Spider-Man 3 : Jamie Foxx Joins As Electro Confirmed!

Jamie Foxx is returning to the Spidey world as Electro in Spider-Man: Far From Home unnamed sequel. This has sent the fans of the Franchise into a frenzy.

Passing On The Mantle

Jamie Foxx played the villain, Electro in Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) in Andrew Garfield last and final movie. The Spider-Man mantle has then been passed on to fan favourite Tom Holland.

Tom Holland’s verse of Spider-Man went on to star in more giant marvel movies like Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame. And Spider-Man: Far From Home is the highest-grossing film in the entire franchise.

2018 saw the release of animated Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which also won an Oscar. Now ever since its release fans have been asking for a live-action Spider-Verse movie with all three Spider-Man actors from the past.

Alternative Universe

Into The Spiderverse

To those who are unaware, Spider-Verse saw the introduction of alternative Universe in the Spidey world. The movie saw the introduction of three different Spider-Man, middle-aged Peter Parker, the black-and-white Spider-Man Noir, and Spider-Gwen. Miles Morales learns that these three are just a few amongst more of the Larger Spider-Man Metaverse that exists.

Now, this gave fans the hope that this might be filmed in live-action and that Toby McGuire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland can be brought together. But it was just a dream until the fans saw the Vulture from MCU’s version of Spider-Man: Homecoming in the new Sony’s Morbius trailer.

Return Of Electro

Now since Hollywood Reporter yesterday confirmed that Jamie Foxx will return as Electro who was already seen in Andrew’ version of Spider-Man, it has fans jumping with joy. Not only because they get to see Electro again, but also because this might pave the way to the live-action Spider-Verse movie which fans have been longing for.

Why We Deserve Live-Action

We are not yet sure if Jamie will reappear as the same Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2, or if he will take the role as Electro who meets Spidey for the first time. But I know what fans are wishing for and frankly, we all deserve that after what 2020 has put us through. Especially what Marvel has put us through since Endgame. Come on, give us something!

Fans have been flooding Twitter and have officially (well, unofficially) confirmed that Spider-Verse is on the go. Since Holland’s Far From Home ended with his identity being revealed to the world, which has never happened before, fans are hoping that now anything is possible.
