Here’s what happened in the previous chapter, Tokyo Revengers Chapter 223. 

Draken is loaded onto the ambulance as life slowly fades away from his face. He is taken back to New Year’s Day in 2005 as he remembers riding with the original members of the gang – Mikey, Baji, Chifuyu, Smiley, Angry, Pah-Chin, Peh-yan, Mitsuya, and Hakkai. 

They were heading to the beach to view the very first sunrise of the year. It was early in the morning and the temperature was still very cold. 

Chifuyu and Hakkai are asked to buy something warm from the convenience store and meanwhile, the members start running around the shore to keep themselves warm.

Draken spots Mikey standing alone looking towards the horizon. Mikey tells him to hold onto this whole world. Draken smiles and tells Mikey this year they will conquer the whole country.

Draken tears up and gives off a laugh as he realizes that his final memories are with Toman. At an emotional end to the chapter, we see Emma take Draken’s hand and he tells Emma that he is on his way home.
