Venom Sequel Gets Its Official Working Title, Production Will Start Soon

The Working Title for The Symbiote Sequel:

Tom Hardy’s Venom 2 finally has an official working title from Sony.

According to reports, the Venom Sequel will go on floors for production this November onwards. The official working title that Sony has given the film is “Filmore.”

Connections with The Working Title:

With the Venom 2 Release Date closer than it seems, fans are now quite curious as to what the Filmore means.

Come to think of it, Filmore does not have any immediate connections with the comics.

It also does not have any hidden Easter Eggs in regards to Hardy’s Venom. Still, the only reference we can think of is The Filmore music venue in San Francisco.

It is also important to note here that in Venom, Eddie Brock lives in San Francisco. This is possibly the only logical connection to the working title.

About the Venom Sequel:

In the Venom Sequel, Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Eddie Brock. Andy Serkis will take the helm as director, with Kelly Marcel providing words to the story as the screenwriter.

Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson will also return to the screen with the film. The Venom 2 Release Date, according to Sony’s plans, is set for October 2, 2020.

The Venom Sequel will follow from the first Venom movie where Eddie Brock attempts to revive his career as a journalist.

He does so by investigating the Life Foundation where he comes in contact with an alien symbiote.

What follows is a roller-coaster journey where Brock gains powers and transforms into the titular anti-hero.
