VMAS 2020: Lady Gaga to BTS Everything You Need To Know
It rained Grande, and we went Gaga, BTS! Lol (Sorry for the bad pun). Looks like a worldwide pandemic couldn’t stop the VMAs. NAH, NAH! Nothing could stop them, giving Lady Gaga everything she deserved!
Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and BTS went home with four awards each. Gaga was also honoured with MTV Tricon Award. Those who are wondering what a Tricon award is-It’s basically an award created for Gaga, and we are, all for it!
Tricon award was created by MTV to honour those who are an icon in Music, Acting, Fashion and Activism. So, it should be Fourcon, and frankly, Tricon sounds better so we stan it.
Grande and BTS also took four awards each. And our favourite TayTay won her first Best Directional award for her debut direction video, “The Man”. BTS stole the show, but BlackPink was given the award for Song of The Summer, for “How You Like That”.
Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me” was the most nominated act with nine nominations. Keke Palmer hosted the award show, and it took place in New York.
BTS performed their record-breaking hit, Dynamite. Miley Cyrus performed her new release, Midnight sky. The Weekend performed “Blinding Lights” which also won Video of the Year. Gaga and Grande performed their highest nominated collab, “Rain on Me”.
The Pandemic doesn’t seem to come to an end and looks like this will be the award show we might get to see for a while. So, save it, share and rewatch it peeps!
