What is the Story So Far and When Will the Next Episode of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon be Released?
Inuyasha’s much-anticipated sequel Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon premiered on October 3, 2020. It is ongoing at the moment with the latest episode 15 having aired on January 16, 2021.
Fans of the original anime series, Inuyasha are also fervently catching up on this new sequel. There are lots of mysteries to be unravelled, especially in Episode 15! This article contains spoilers so if you’re curious about that, read on!

What Happens in Episode 15 of Yashahime?
Yashahime’s Episode 15 titled ‘Farewell Under the Lunar Eclipse’ reveals an extremely grand mystery that fans have been majorly curious about! Ever since the series was launched, fans have endlessly speculated about what happened to Kagome and Inuyasha.
It seems they’re still alive and it’s a huge relief to learn this! They were sealed inside the Black Pearl by Sesshomaru who was trying to protect them from Kirinmaru. This is because Kirinmaru intended to kill the couple to take their child Moroha.
So far, Kirinmaru has been established as the series’ villain and Episode 15 greatly revolves around him. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are seen dealing with the threat of a descending fragment of the Grim Comet. However, Inuyasha successfully gets rid of it with his Meido Zangetsuha.
By this time though, a new threat appears in the form of Kirinmaru who has been awakened by Zero, the mystery demon. She is the one who warns Kirinmaru of the prophecy of his downfall at the hands of a being that’s neither human nor demon. This establishes why Kirinmaru desires the deaths of Sesshomaru’s half-demon daughters and Moroha who is also a quarter demon.
What is the Other Mystery Revealed in Episode 15?
In this episode, the twins’ mother is finally revealed to be Rin. The episode also shows how Towa and Setsuna ended up in the forest. Sesshomaru is the one who takes them to the forest right after they’re born because he knows Kirinmaru is after them.
To prevent his daughters’ deaths, he places them under a protective spell. Episode 15 has not yet shown what happens to Rin after this or how she came to be trapped in the tree of ages.

When Will Episode 16 of Yashahime Air?
Episode 16 is scheduled to be released on 23 January, 2021. This episode will give viewers a deeper look into Moroha’s childhood with the Koga wolf clan. It will also show how she ended up being indebted to Jyubei. Her mentor Yawaragi also gives her a surprise visit in this episode!
