It is indeed going to be the year of Witcher!

Obstacles along the way

Witcher fans are gearing up for what appears to be one of the best years for them, and with Henry Cavill’s health update, it is nothing but good news for the fans.

The Witcher season 2 shooting underwent many troubles due to the pandemic, but the recent one that disrupted the set’s functioning was Henry Cavill’s injury.

Troubles after troubles for the Witcher

After what appeared to be God knows how many times, the shoot had resumed, but not for long. Within a few days, Cavill was injured and was sent home. Fans thought maybe he just needed a small extra-long Christmas break and that he will be back soon, but that wasn’t the case.

The team moved on by shooting the scenes without Geralt in it, and we don’t think there is much of that, so we probably think they are waiting for Cavill to join back. If the time to recovery takes long for Cavill, then there might be dire consequences, affecting fans and Netflix.

New UK Lockdown

To put it in a simple way, even with all the new UK lockdown rules, there are very few chances that shootings are happening, so unless Cavill recovers soon and comes back, we won’t be getting the second season within this year.

Also, there are chances that the new lockdown in the UK can still affect the shooting more than Cavill’s injury. Even though the British government has given the green light for the Entertainment industry to continue its work, there are still many risks, and as a result, even Marvel has stopped Doctor Strange 2 shooting in the UK.

Back On His Feet

But there was some good news for fans after all! Yesterday while Henry Cavill decided to go for a slow run, he couldn’t control his excitement and shared it with his fans. He didn’t give a lot of info on how he is doing, but he did say that’s for another day.

He is back on his feet and is taking a mild run but to a far distance, which means he is getting back in shape and recovering quickly. Henry Cavill might not be ready to be back on set yet, but he is closer to doing so.

With many things on the line for Netflix with the second season releasing this year, we are sure the Netflix officials will carry Henry Cavill if they must and get him to the shoot.
