The anime is a dark fantasy thriller which is set in the year 2045, over 1000 years after an agreement called “The Promise” was made to end a long-standing war between humans and demons. Some humans were sacrificed to make them and their descendants serve as food for the demons.
Farms are set up as a special breeding program under the guise of orphanages. When the orphaned children learn about the dark truth, they plan to escape from there.

Season 2 premiered on January 11, 2021 and ran for 11 episodes before concluding on March 26, 2021. Regarding Season 3, there is a low chance of coming back as the show has covered all the chapters of the original material.
