A Brief Recap of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 172:
The chapter begins with a high-stake battle between Reggie and Megumi to see who’ll get crushed first. With an elephant on Reggie, he’s under a lot of weight and pressure which causes a fracture in his leg. But, he hasn’t given up yet and is still thinking about how to escape from this nightmare.
He comes up with an idea although it’s quite risky as he doesn’t know how Megumi’s shadow works. Considering he goes in and uses his trump card and Megumi dies, will he remain in the shadow for eternity? The very idea is quite horrific and thus he decides to use his trump card then and there.
Reggie uses ‘Object Reproduction’ but before it is able to hit Megumi, Reggie’s already sinking in the shadow. However, he’s just floating endlessly and doesn’t die; in the next moment comes up with the help of his car. And then, Reggie uses the ultimate move where he drops a two-story house on Megumi.
But hey, it’s not over for the shadow boy as he was prepared for it. In fact, before the house dropped, he went into the shadows and disable his domain. So, the house destroyed the floor and dropped in the pool along with Reggie. After coming to his senses, they both begin their fight once again but Megumi had a surprise attack in motion already.
What Can Happen In The Next Chapter?
Well, after Reggie’s ear is bitten off by the dog shikigami, he isn’t in a condition to fight. In addition to that, all of his receipts are wet and now rendered unusable.
