Chris Hemsworth Shares His Thoughts on Thor: Love and Thunder
Hemsworth’s Thor movies have changed a lot in tone over time. When Thor: The Dark World didn’t do well, Marvel decided to give the character a fresh start. That’s when director Taika Waititi came in and brought a lot of energy to the character.
Ragnarok gave the God of Thunder a new funny side, mixing humor with serious moments. Fans loved this new Thor in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. But Thor: Love and Thunder went too far with the jokes, risking Hemsworth’s record in the MCU.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hemsworth confessed to having some regrets about his role in Thor: Love and Thunder. He acknowledges the movie’s problems with its tone, admitting, “I got too carried away with improvisation and comedy, and I ended up making a caricature of myself. I didn’t finish strong.” As a result, Vanity Fair reports that Hemsworth “feels like he should give the audience another movie after what seemed like a miss with Thor: Love and Thunder.” If Hemsworth were to return for Thor 5, it would help maintain his impressive record in the MCU.
Is There a Release Date?
Marvel has a busy lineup of movies coming out. “Deadpool & Wolverine” is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024. Next is “Captain America: Brave New World” on February 14, 2025, followed by ‘Thunderbolts’ on May 2, 2025.
Then, “Fantastic Four” is scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, with ‘Blade’ premiering on November 7, 2025. “Avengers 5” is planned for May 1, 2026, and “Avengers: Secret Wars” will come out on May 7, 2027.
There is no release date mentioned for Thor 5, nor has there been any official announcement by Marvel’s side.
