With Marvel Studios regaining the character rights, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is nearing the introduction of the X-Men in a new reboot.
Following Famke Janssen’s former X-Men co-stars Patrick Stewart and Kelsey Grammer, who have returned as Professor Xavier and Beast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his role as Logan in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine.
Fans are eagerly speculating about the possibility of Janssen’s Jean Grey returning to the screens after a decade.
Famke Janssen Talks About Jean Grey’s Return
In a recent interview with Comic Book, Janssen was questioned about the possibility of her reprising her role as Jean Grey, considering her previous appearances in the original X-Men films. When asked about her unexpected comebacks in the past, Janssen provided the following answer:
“I don’t know, I didn’t expect to come back after dying as Jean Grey. I came back as the Phoenix [in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand], and came back in flashback scenes in The Wolverine, and then in Days of Future Past. I don’t know, but you never know.”
