Emmys 2020: Everything You Need to Know

Even though we thoroughly miss the red carpet walk of celebrities and fashion channels yelling “Who are you wearing?“, we should say, this virtual Emmy was also goooood!

No G.O.T Reunion

But to be fair, we did miss the cast coming together. Remember last year Emmys with the G.O.T. cast coming together. It just pleases your eyes to see them all together. But we did see a fantastic cast who swept the Emmys off its feet coming together. Even though it was a virtual party, we saw the cast of Schitt’s Creek joining together for a viewing party.

Pandemic Emmys

Now there were hazmat suits, Emmy shaped sanitizers and whatnot. The host for the night was comedian and talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel. He was joined by F.R.I.E.N.D.S. alum, Jennifer Anniston. Interns wearing a hazmat suit were stationed before every nominee’s house. Once the winner was announced, they went in and gave the award.

15 Nominations

Schitt’s Creek cast winning emmy awards.

To those who didn’t win, they came to the door waved goodbye and left. Now imagine stationed for the Schitt‘s Creek cast and their 15 effing nominations. So, I think they just saved the Emmys‘ panel a lot of money and decided to come together. They had fifteen nominations and won 9 Emmys. We are emotional, “Ew….David uh“.

Actors Par Excellence

Another star of the show was our favourite Disney alum, Zendaya. She won her first Emmy for her exceptional acting in Euphoria. And Mark Ruffalo also won his second Emmys for HBO’s “I Know This Much is True“. Regina King, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’ Hara were some of the actors who were given their credit for their outstanding performances and for being a valuable asset to their respective series.

Another big highlight was the night was Jennifer Anniston rushing home. Oh, wait that is not the highlight, the people whom she went home to were the highlight. Well, she went home to Monica Geller and Phoebe Buffay or Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. The audience was thrown into a frenzy seeing this mini-reunion.

Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox reunite at emmy awards.

Jenifer who walked the actual red carpet yesterday and did some hosting duty with her pal, Jimmy Kimmel, rushed home when her category was announced and joined us in a robe. Even though Jen didn’t win, it seriously feels like we all won.

Disney Star Shines Brighter!

And hear this, the one who succeeded in that category was Zendaya!!!! She won in the category which was dominated by Olivia Colman, Sandra Oh and Jenifer Aniston, damn Girl!!!!! We are effing proud!!!

Also, Marvel, those sneaky little bastards released their new promo for WandaVision and announced that it was coming soon. Yay!!!

The Emmys took place on September 21st with the audience and the stars joining virtually. Years may pass, but this year’s Emmys will never be forgotten.
