Kakegurui’s Creator Launches New Manga The Killer Of The Reincarnated: Cheat Slayer!
The Isekai Genre is growing rapidly as many creators produce manga and light novels based on this theme. And the anime community seems to just love it since the popularity of these shows keeps proliferating.
Homura Kawamoto who gave us the mind-boggling psycho-thriller Kakegurui is back with another manga Isekai Tenseisha Koroshi- Cheat Slayer (The Killer Of The Reincarnated: Cheat Slayer). The upcoming manga seems to possess the same intensity and sadistic touch as the creator’s previous work.
About the franchise Kakegurui
Kakegurui– Compulsive Gambler manga is authored by Homura Kawamoto and serialised in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine in March 2014. An anime adaptation by MAPPA aired from 2017 to 2019. The series has also been licensed by Netflix and is streaming on its site.
The story follows a transfer student Yumeko Jabami, who has a crazy addiction to gambling. Hyakkaou Private Academy seems like a regular school by day but becomes a gambling den by night. Their status in the school is based on how one performs in gambling.
Yumeko has an exceptional skill to see through the scams and easily climbs her way to the top. The President of the Student Council Kirari Momobami quickly takes an interest in her.
About the Upcoming Manga Cheat Slayer
Kadokawa’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine announced that Homura Kawamoto will launch a new manga titled The Killer Of The Reincarnated: Cheat Slayer (Isekai Tenseisha Koroshi – Cheat Slayer) on June 9, 2021. Ali Yamaguchi is handling the art designs of the manga.
The plot of the manga is revealed to be another psychological thriller isekai including a character who kills people who are reincarnated from another world. It is much similar to Kakegurui in terms of the use of themes like revenge, hate and thirst.
The teaser image released showcases a female character with red eyes and white hair, madly hugging a boy who seems frightened and is crying with a sword in his hands.
This has given rise to many speculations and theories regarding the relationship between the two. These can only be answered once the manga is delivered to the readers!
