Recap of My Hero Academia Chapter 370

In the last chapter of My Hero Academia, Spinner led thousands of villains to the hospital to free Kurogiri, who they call the perfect-Nomu. These mutated villains, numbering 15,000, were seen charging into the hospital. Even though Mic, Rock Lock, and Koda were present to assist the police to keep the rioters under control. Unfortunately, they were vastly outnumbered and powerless to intervene.

They are following Spinner as a representative of the mutated society. They want Human to pay for the way they’ve been ignored and thrown away by society. Spinner, who was losing his mind as a result of the Quirks AFO gave him, attempted to attack a pair of police officers. However, Shoji arrived and knocked him out. Shoji stands in front of the mutants and asks them if they think it’s right to hurt the patients and bystanders. He tells them that he would not forgive them for putting innocent people in danger.

According to spoilers, My Hero Academia chapter 371 is tentatively titled Together with Shoji. The chapter begins with the mutant aggressors being surprised by Shoji’s scars, while Spinner remains unaware of his surroundings. However, the PLF general manages to turn Spinner’s ignorance into something motivating for the army he leads. Shoji asserts that this attack will only serve to reinforce stereotypes about mutants.

This comment reminds Spinner of when AFO gave him a few quirks, like Scale Armor and Rigidity. And the flashback changes to one of Shigaraki telling Spinner that he used to play League of Legends when he was a kid. Which finally brings Spinner back to his senses. He attacks Shoji, severing one of his arms. An alarmed Kouda recalls the day Shoji revealed his past to Class A.

The fact that Shoji was born of non-mutant parents caused his village to persecute him.  He must wear a mask so that civilians are not alarmed. His only good memory is of saving a little girl with his arms. Tokoyami remarks on Shoji’s strength, and Mineta apologizes for calling him an octopus. Other students console him, and he vows to be an inspiration to the next generation.

Shoji knows the situation is bad because he remembers the giant civilian who was kicked out of the shelters because he was a mutant. However, he wants to take a better path. Spinner attacks Shoji again, this time with no regard for the cause. Kouda begins to physically evolve and uses a flock of birds to save his friend. Shoji also grows several eyes on his arms and prepares for an attack.
